help us grow

goal: $100,000 by june 2026

Why This Campaign Matters

We all know the strength of the value of tradition in the Poker Hill community.  Tradition in gathering on the playground at the end of a sunny week, tradition of singing the Poker Hill School theme song, and the tradition of families returning to the school so their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren can receive one of the strongest preschool educations in our region. Children are taught self-sufficiency through exposure to traditional Vermont trades so that they can confidently enter the world with the tools to thrive in our countryside culture.

strengthen our foundation.

Build long-term financial independence so Poker Hill can remain a vibrant place for learning, no matter what challenges come our way.

preserve our legacy.

Protect the traditions and values that make Poker Hill a cornerstone of early education in our community.

foster our growth.

Enhance our ability to grow, adapt, and innovate by covering rising costs and supporting meaningful upgrades to our facilities and programs.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter for Poker Hill School. Together, we can ensure that future generations of children experience the same sense of wonder, self-sufficiency, and community that have made Poker Hill so special.

Be Part of the Poker Hill Story

Making our learning community shine takes resources, and let's face it - those resources are being stretched due to financial increases such as insurance and building repairs. While our financial position is gaining strength, we need your help to propel the school into self-sufficiency so that we are prepared to respond to whatever comes our way as Poker Hill steps towards its next stage in development.

How You Can Help: Every gift--modest or mighty—makes a difference! Here’s how to contribute:
  • Venmo*: @Poker_Hill_School
  • Check: Mail to Poker Hill School, 209 Poker Hill Road, Underhill, VT 05489
  • Bank Transfer: Contact us for details.
*note: Venmo incurs a 1.9% + $.10 (ten cent) fee per transaction

Funds will offset the cost of our monthly mortgage and meet increasing insurance and building improvement costs so when other expenses come up, we can make financial decisions based on what our staff, students and school deserve rather than what limits us.

Our small but powerful school is on the front of a new financial horizon!  We are starting to offer a retirement program for our valued staff. Our art and supply closet is bursting thanks to the generosity of parents. There is $70,000 left on our mortgage to David and Beth London for the purchase of our building. When that mortgage matures, Poker Hill will enter its next step in its development, like a former preschooler stepping into kindergarten.
