Poker Hill School, Inc., a 5 STAR preschool, is seeking a qualified, motivated and committed early childhood teacher to join our dedicated staff. Our program is designed specifically for young children. We value play and exploration of the natural world and children have ample opportunity for both as our school is located on 30 rural acres with gardens, ponds, woods, a barn, yurt and farm animals.
Teachers implement emergent curriculum and utilize Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment, though these are not our only means of curriculum development or assessment. Poker Hill School is also approved by the State of Vermont as a Prequalified Prekindergarten Program. Established in 1972, Poker Hill School is a nonprofit in Underhill, Vermont, 20 miles northeast of Burlington. Required Qualifications
The right candidate for this position will have:
- Experience with, love of, and respect for young children
- Passion for early childhood education, as well as interest in sharing nature, music, and the arts with children
- Ability and motivation to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high quality curriculum for children
- Teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Valid VT teaching certificate or eligibility
- Experience with Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment
Employment Details:
