ACT 166 Approved
Poker Hill School has achieved the status of a Prequalified Prekindergarten Education Program in the State of Vermont and therefore we are able to partner with school districts to receive public funding for children between 3 and 5 years of age. Maintaining our status as a Prequalified Prekindergarten Education Program involves utilizing developmentally appropriate curriculum that is aligned with Vermont's Early Learning Standards, comprehensively reporting children's progress to families and the Agency of Education at the beginning and the end of the school year, and creating/maintaining effective opportunities for parent involvement and participation. The State tuition rate to be paid to PHS on behalf of each child registered through their school district for the 2024-2025 school year is $3,884.

Scholarships
Lou Ingalls, Sam Leonard, Brooks Baker Scholarship Fund
The Scholarship fund is named to honor the memories of Lou Ingalls, Sam Leonard and Brooks Baker.
In 1985, the founder of Poker Hill School, Lou Ingalls, passed away. Friends of Lou donated funds to start a scholarship fund. Soon after the fund began, two families in the Poker Hill School community, the families of Sam Leonard and Brooks Baker, suffered tragic losses.
Since its inception, the Scholarship Fund has been a key focus to fundraising projects at PHS. The school has raised and dedicated more than $50,000 over the years to help more than 100 families pay tuition. Each year parents and volunteers come together to raise money for the scholarship endowment fund and for the coming year's scholarship needs.
For more information about the fund, or to inquire about applying for a scholarship aid, please see the director.
